The Story of Monte Horebe: A Sacred Sanctuary of Prayer and Renewal
In 2008, Pastor Cristina, leader of the International Missionary Church, felt a divine calling—an unshakable conviction placed in her heart. She envisioned a sacred space where people from all backgrounds and from all over the world could retreat from the noise of daily life and immerse themselves in the presence of God.
With unwavering faith, she obeyed the call and acquired a piece of land, dedicating it to the Lord. This land, surrounded by the beauty of nature, would become Monte Horebe—a house of prayer, a refuge for the weary, and a sanctuary for those seeking renewal.
Just like the biblical Mount Horeb, where Moses encountered the burning bush and received divine instructions, Monte Horebe was established as a place where people can hear God’s voice, be transformed, and be sent forth in power.
“Now Moses was tending the flock of Jethro his father-in-law, the priest of Midian, and he led the flock to the far side of the wilderness and came to Horeb, the mountain of God. There the angel of the Lord appeared to him in flames of fire from within a bush. Moses saw that though the bush was on fire, it did not burn up.”
— Exodus 3:1-2
At Monte Horebe, visitors experience a time of detachment from worldly distractions, allowing them to worship freely, heal from life’s wounds, and be filled with God’s love and grace. Through deep prayer, fasting, and spiritual renewal, many find restoration and a renewed sense of purpose.
Guided by the mission to “love people to life,” Monte Horebe continues to be a beacon of hope, a dwelling place of God’s presence, and a launching ground for those called to spread His love. It stands as a testimony of what is possible when faith is put into action—a reminder that in silence, in surrender, and in the presence of the Almighty, lives are forever transformed.
